Large lightweight scarf made from a soft blend of cotton and silk.
The faintly dusty floral print comes from the faded grandeur of a late 19th century French textile from the Tapis Noir archive of antique fabrics.
The edges are rolled and sewn by hand – a time-intensive process that produces the most attractive hem.
For colour accuracy, please refer to the flat image of the scarf.

Tapis Noir large light dusty scarf
The Slim Edge Scarf is made from two delicate, soft pieces of silk crepe de chine sewn together as a twilly. The print comes from a small section of an antique fabric we have in our archive. We assume that the antique fabric is from the middle of the 1800-hundreds, possible late Napoleon III.
The two sides have different prints: one has the print from an antique fabric and the other is a warm grey. The scarf has pointy ends, making it easy to tie in a number of different ways.
- Two layers of delicate 100% silk crepe-de-chine
- 16x165cm (from point to point)
